When is the UF Health Career Showcase?

Health Career Showcase will be held in-person February 1st, 2025.

What is the cost of attendance?

Event pricing is $20 per attendee.

Who can attend?

All Florida undergraduate pre-health students are welcome.

When does registration open?

Early registration is about to open!

Regular Registration will be from November 28th -January 12th.

What type of programs will be in attendance?

Physician Assistant, Dental, and Medical (Allopathic and Osteopathic) programs from around the world will participate.

What schools will be attending?

You can find a full list of schools attending on the Confirmed Schools tab. We will also email you a list of the schools attending for you to select your preferences after you finished registering!

What opportunities are offered at the event?

Health Career Showcase offers the opportunity to speak with representatives from five programs of your choice in a small-group setting, student panels, a personal statement workshop, and an interview workshop.

There will be Physician Assistant and Dental sessions from 8am - 1pm, followed by Medical (Allopathic and Osteopathic) programs in session from 1pm - 6pm.

What attire is appropriate?

Business professional attire is expected from all attendees.

What etiquette is expected of attendees?

We expect participants to be courteous to one another and behave respectfully. The Health Career Showcase council and volunteer moderators possess the right to dismiss you from the event if we find you are acting in a disruptive manner.

Do you offer refunds if I can no longer attend?

Unfortunately, we will not be able to issue refunds at this time.

Will I be able to enter any school’s session?

No. You will receive an assigned schedule after filling out the preference form. If you do not fill out the preference form, we will randomly assign you schools. We are assigning schedules to ensure attendees are evenly distributed between all the schools.

How do I know what schools I will be able to attend for the sessions?

For the event, you will receive an assigned schedule for the student panel and all of the sessions. After registering for the event, we will send you an email with a google form, where you will rank your preferences for schools. We will assign you a schedule and send you your schedule, closer to the event date.

Will I be able to move between different schools during the sessions?

No. Moderators will be monitoring the rooms to ensure attendees are in their correct sessions. We do not want attendees interrupting school representatives and deans in the middle of their presentations.

What are the ten minute breaks for between each session?

During the five sessions, attendees will be moving in and out of different rooms for each school. Each school will remain in one room for the entire event and attendees will be circulating in and out based on their assigned schedule. The breaks are to allow school representatives and deans to wrap up their presentations or answer any quick questions at the end, based on how each school is running their sessions. If you need to use the restroom, or a get a snack, the breaks are a great opportunity for that. However, you must be in your next room prompt at the start time to be able to enter. This is a professional event and we are expecting excellent timeliness and respect for the school representatives and their presentations.
